OUR BACKGROUND
Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) was founded in 1986 by medical specialists to provide peer support for breast cancer patients and survivors. We were registered in 1988 as a non-profit tax-exempt organisation under the Registrar of Societies Malaysia.
We are a member of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), ABC Global Alliance and Reach to Recovery International (RRI).
OUR OBJECTIVES
Provide
emotional, social and material support for individuals affected
by breast cancer.
Strengthen
the physical and emotional capabilities of individuals with
breast cancer to manage themselves during and after treatments.
Reaching out
to communities to enable early detection and timely medical
treatment of breast cancer.
OUR VISION
A world without untimely deaths from breast cancer.
OUR MISSION
At BCWA, our mission rests on the philosophy that every individual should receive education, care, support and information regarding early detection, timely medical treatment and maintaining optimal quality of life after breast cancer.
